Had fun with Brayden and his mom at Snyder Whitewater Park in Springfield. In the 22 plus years I have lived in the Dayton area, this is literally the first time I ever heard of this park.
Snyder Park was established in 1895 as a gift from local businessmen and philanthropists John and David Snyder. Designed by noted landscape architect Herman Haerlin, Snyder Park is known as Springfield's "Central Park".
The park includes whitewater features, biking & hiking trails, historic architectural structures and an all-inclusive playground.
Of course, neither I nor, Brayden's mom had ever been there before, so it was kind of funny when I am parked in one parking lot, and she in another, and we call each other, only to realize that we are about 100 feet from each other.
Brayden opted for the mini session, so we spent just under and hour shooting, and quickly exploring the park. Brayden brought 2 clothing changes, his cap and gown, and an athletic jersey....imagine my surprise when he puts on a Steelers' jersey! Um, I am a huge Steelers fan, and grew up near Pittsburgh, so, this really brought a smile to my face.
Brayden will graduate from Beavercreek High School in a couple of weeks, and in the Fall he will be majoring in game design at Full Sail University in Florida.
